RDrL85 said today at 5:48am There is no need of purchasing this tool. Snow Leopard has already fully integrated this feature within the OS. Furthermore, the pop-up's within the OS are transparent, which looks even better! Also, why would I have to integrate this tool within PathFinder? PathFinder has a path-navigator itself! The path-navigator is smart implemented and recommend. Therefore, this tool is not worth a cent - just useless. Cheers |
vancouver2010 said today at 2:42am I've been using FolderGlance since waiting for FinderPop to be fully Snow Leopard compatible. I'm already a huge fan and am very impressed with its versatility. |
jungleblizz said today at 9:20am @ RDrL85: Could you please help us out by giving a bit more information about where we could activate this feature in snow leopard? thx |
ploth said today at 1:21am UPDATE: It only works in Finder so no good with Pathfinder. Pathfinder doesn't have this feature (which would be good sometimes) but has many others that I would miss way too much to go back to finder with this :( |
Espiridion said today at 4:04am @vancouver2010, Have you tried FinderPop's beta versions? I think they're SL compatible. Turly has said that FP is "the only utility with a gestation period longer than an elephant’s!" but still he has provided many beta versions by now, with a brief interruption when he had his accident. |
bobzozus said today at 2:06am I would assume this is for those people who use the Finder frequently- and, don't like the Columns view. I find that I use other programs to organize my important files (Eaglefiler- for one. Yep & Leap, sometimes)- and, can use Spotlight and the aforementioned programs to find what I want. I guess the usefulness of this program lies in how you best work. Also, I find FinderPop- as well as Snow Leopard's improved use of Contextual Menus- quite sufficient for my Contextual Menus needs. I'll save my $10. Although, Dan Frakes does make a case in the article mentioned by Outrider that this app will be useful to some. Thanks MUPromo for giving us this intriguing system enhancement. |
ploth said today at 1:15am This looks ok - but even at half price seems expensive. Does anyone know if this can be configured to allow viewing of all files in a folder & subfolders in one list? What about the customizeable context menu - is this just for Finder or system wide? This last feature has enough pull for me to download & test...it might just suck me out of $10 yet :) |

Dan Frakes (MacWorld) reviewed this on MacGems on 10 NOV 09 giving it 4 mice. Read the review here: http://www.macworld.com/article/143770/2009/11/folderglance.html?lsrc=nl_mwgems_h_crawl
Only issue seemed to be price. Mupromo takes that problem away.
